Description
The State of South Dakota, through the Office of Procurement Management, is soliciting sealed bids from authorized South Dakota dealers for new 2027 or newer vehicles. Vehicle categories include non-police sedans, SUVs, passenger minivans, extended passenger vans, pickup trucks, one-ton cab-and-chassis trucks, special-service vehicles, and pursuit-rated police vehicles. Vehicles must be the latest production models and meet detailed specifications covering drivetrain, seating, safety equipment, communications features, police equipment, towing capability, warranties, and optional equipment. Addendum 1 revises the maximum vehicle length for Line Item 5 to 212 inches. The awarded vehicles must be delivered to Pierre, South Dakota, with delivery included in base pricing. The selling or pre-delivery dealer must complete inspections, provide required title and warranty documentation, supply at least five gallons of fuel per vehicle, and coordinate delivery and warranty service. Bids will generally be evaluated using modified life-cycle costing, while Highway Patrol vehicles and heavy-duty trucks of three-quarter ton and larger are excluded from that formula. The contract term is one year beginning October 1, 2026, with up to four additional one-year renewals.
