Description
The University of Oklahoma is soliciting proposals for a complete turnkey installation of one new 2,500-ton chiller at Chilled Water Plant One on the Norman campus. The scope includes equipment procurement, demolition and removal as required, rigging, structural modifications, concrete work, piping, insulation, valves and actuators, electrical distribution, controls and instrumentation, testing and balancing, factory-authorized startup, commissioning, documentation, training, and warranty services. The new chiller must integrate with the existing York 2,500-ton chiller for independent and parallel operation. The contractor must also furnish and install two chilled-water pumps, two condenser-water pumps, variable-frequency drives, metering assemblies, piping modifications, electrical distribution lineups, a 120/240V panel, controls interfaces, and related wiring and commissioning. An alternate bid item is required for a complete automatic tube-cleaning system. Bidders must provide organizational information, three similar-project references, at least five comparable large-tonnage chiller projects completed within the last ten years, equipment and efficiency documentation, personnel qualifications, safety information, warranty and service capabilities, and a preliminary project schedule. A mandatory site visit is required for bid participation, and bids must be submitted through the University's online bid platform.
