Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Portland District intends to award a sole-source contract to the Confederated Tribes and Bands of the Yakama Nation for annual acclimation and release activities at Prosser Hatchery. The work includes acclimating and releasing up to 1.1 million sub-yearling upriver bright fall Chinook juveniles received from Little White Salmon Hatchery and 210,000 yearling upriver bright fall Chinook juveniles received from Bonneville Hatchery. The contractor must also supply 600,000 upriver bright fall Chinook smolts for release into the Yakima River. The fish production supports mitigation obligations associated with The Dalles and John Day Dams. This is a presolicitation notice, not a request for competitive proposals or quotations, and the Government states that a solicitation will not be posted. Interested concerns may submit a written capability statement demonstrating that competition would benefit the Government; oral responses are not accepted. The notice states that the Government intends to proceed with the sole-source action.
