Description
Yuma County is soliciting sealed bids for construction of a roughly 13,138-square-foot pre-engineered metal building for the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension. The project includes offices, laboratories, conference rooms, storage, restrooms, a demonstration kitchen, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems, and associated site work such as parking, access drives, drainage, utilities, a well, water storage and fire-protection infrastructure. The bid schedule includes separately priced alternatives for generator equipment, a walk-in cooler, site lighting, a metal screen, casework, laboratory casework, a monument sign, and contractor-furnished aggregate base course. The base-bid amount programmed for the project is $4,700,000. The selected bidder is to complete the work within 365 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. Bids must include the completed Proposal Kit, a non-collusion affidavit, and a bid guarantee of at least 10% of the bid amount. A mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled, and written questions are due by November 20, 2026.
