Description
The California Department of Food and Agriculture is soliciting a public-works contractor to demolish the existing propane generator, automatic transfer switch/panelboard, conduits, conductors, and related hardware, then furnish and install a new 20 kW/25 kVA optional-standby propane generator. The replacement system includes a NEMA 3R Level II sound-attenuated enclosure, approximately 20 feet of exhaust extension, reconnection to the existing above-ground propane tank, a new 100-amp integrated automatic transfer switch/panelboard, power and control conduits and conductors, grounding, three protective bollards, a concrete equipment pad, permits, testing, commissioning, cleanup, and operator training. The work must follow the provided working drawings and project manual, maintain station operations without unapproved outages, and comply with applicable California codes, prevailing-wage requirements, Department of Industrial Relations registration, and public-works requirements. The contractor or subcontractor must hold C-36 Plumbing and C-10 Electrical licenses. The contract term is January 1, 2027, or the later date of required approvals, through June 30, 2027, with no renewal option.
