Description
Johnson County, Kansas is soliciting bids for the Tomahawk Creek Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF) Process Improvements Project, Contract No. THM1-C031. The project encompasses several key areas of upgrades: A. Odor Control Improvements: Installation of covers on anaerobic and pre-anoxic basins, addition of Odor Control System No. 4, and covers for splitter boxes. B. Sidestream Nitrogen Treatment Improvements: Separation of slop flows from centrate discharges and redirection to the plant drain. C. Gravity Thickener H2S Reduction: Addition of ferric chloride feed capability to the Primary Sludge Gravity Thickener/Fermenter. D. Co-Thickening Improvements: Modifications for direct sludge discharge to the Co-Thickened Sludge wetwell, addition of a fifth digester feed pump, and installation of pressure sensors. E. Sludge Cleanout Manhole: Addition of a cleanout manhole for easier line cleaning. F. Primary Clarifier Improvements: Construction of an access drive, installation of cleanouts for scum pit drainpipes, and addition of electric actuators to slide gates. G. Micro-C Dosing Improvements: Replacement of potable water with plant effluent water for carrier water and rerouting of discharge lines. H. Pre-Anoxic Mixers: Addition of a second submersible mixer in pre-anoxic zones. I. Digester No. 3 Access Improvements: Replacement of a ladder with a stair tower. J. Chlorine Contact Basin Improvements: Replacement of aluminum slide gates with corrosion-resistant materials. K. Filter Complex Improvements: Installation of an electric actuator on a gate and addition of safety platforms to disk filter basins. L. Storm Drain Isolation near Ferric Tanks: Installation of an isolation drainage system to prevent chemical spills from entering the storm sewer system. Bidders are required to submit a bid bond of five percent (5%) of the total bid amount, payable to the Board of County Commissioners of Johnson County, Kansas. All bids must be submitted electronically via IonWave.
