Description
The City of Traverse City and Downtown Development Authority are soliciting bids for construction of Rotary Square at 203 S. Union Street. The scope includes demolition, grading, concrete and brick paving, concrete and modular-block retaining walls, stairs and railings, drainage and sanitary sewer improvements, stormwater treatment, utilities, electrical systems and exterior lighting, irrigation, soil support systems, landscaping, native seeding, trees and plantings, site furnishings, trellises, an overlook slide, signage, and related traffic and pedestrian detour measures. The project includes specified products and systems such as Landscape Forms furnishings and trellises, Unilock pavers, High Format retaining-wall blocks, a Barracuda stormwater treatment unit, poured-in-place rubberized playground surfacing, and irrigation and lighting equipment. The contractor must provide required submittals, coordinate utility and permit work, maintain traffic and security fencing, and complete the work within 417 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed, with intended completion by June 2, 2028. A certified check, bank draft, or bid bond of at least 5% of the bid amount is required.
