Description
The Melbourne Airport Authority is soliciting a lump-sum bid for demolition and clearing of former Eastern Florida State College classroom and hangar buildings at Melbourne Orlando International Airport. The first phase is limited to demolition and clearing. The contractor will be responsible for traffic maintenance, coordination with other contractors, permitting, scheduling, supervision, subcontractor coordination, document control, inspections, commissioning, training, and project close-out while coordinating with Airport Operations, tenants, and other contractors at an operational airport. The work must accommodate active airfield operations. The solicitation requires a 5% bid bond and a construction bond; insurance is not required. The project is classified as an invitation to bid, with no online submissions. The solicitation states that questions are due October 13, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. EST and bids are due October 20, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. EST.
