Description
Hillsborough County is seeking statements of qualifications from Construction Manager at Risk firms to provide preconstruction and construction services for the construction or renovation of numerous fire program projects over a five-year contract term with renewals. The program includes new, replacement, and renovated fire stations and a public safety operations center addition across multiple project groups. Services include design-phase coordination, constructability reviews, estimating, value engineering, scheduling, procurement planning, GMP development, construction management, commissioning, closeout, and warranty support. The County anticipates awarding one or more contracts and provides no guaranteed minimum usage. The total estimated construction budget for all listed projects is $132 million, while the first-phase preconstruction-services budget is $2 million. Respondents must be licensed Florida general contractors and submit qualifications addressing firm and personnel capability, similar project experience, approach to schedule and budget, and current and projected workload. The response must include the required questionnaires, SBE-goal affidavit, foreign-country-of-concern affidavit, proposal, and Substitute W-9. The SBE participation goal will be established for each project when design reaches 60%–90% completion. Insurance is required, and proposal, performance, and/or payment surety may be required on a project-by-project basis.
