Description
The Columbus Consolidated Government is soliciting bids to construct approximately 5,026 linear feet of a 10-foot-wide concrete trail, beginning near Cascade Road, continuing south along River Road (State Route 219), and extending west to the existing riverwalk at Lake Oliver Road. The work includes a pedestrian bridge, landscaping, stormwater improvements, trail amenities, minor demolition and clearing, erosion control, grading, signage, and related site work. Portions of the project are within state right-of-way, and the City has obtained a Georgia Department of Transportation encroachment permit. A 10% disadvantaged business enterprise participation goal applies. Bids are due October 28, 2026, by 2:30 p.m. Eastern Time. Bids must be submitted electronically, and Addendum No. 6 requires acknowledgment using the form provided in the solicitation; failure to acknowledge it may render a response incomplete or non-responsive. The project is anticipated to begin within 90 days after bids are submitted. The contractor must complete the project within 330 calendar days. The solicitation package includes required E-Verify, communication, DBE, conflict-of-interest, federal compliance, business-license, W-9, bid-bond, non-collusion, principal-certification, affirmative-action, proposal, and unit-price materials.
