Description
The contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, equipment, and materials necessary to repair and repaint Water Tower #8, a 400,000-gallon elevated steel water tank. Work includes bead blasting and coating the interior and exterior; repairing or replacing ladders, ladder cages, safety-climb ropes, riser rods, hatches, bolts, roof vent, beacon box, cathodic protection components, grounding, obstruction lighting, non-slip ladder treatments, and related tank and piping components. The amended requirements include replacement of up to 5% of riser tied rods. The contractor must disinfect and refill the tank and support bacteriological testing before acceptance. The work also requires construction planning, quality control, safety and environmental controls, confined-space and hot-work compliance, coating containment and inspection, testing of the tank, piping, coatings, cathodic protection, grounding, and lighting systems, and preparation of as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, training materials, and closeout documentation. The amendment changes the performance commencement trigger from contract award to receipt of the Notice to Proceed and extends the response deadline to September 18, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. CDT. Newly uploaded pre-bid questions and inspection reports provide additional project information, including that a responsible party must be on site or typically within 15 minutes while work is occurring, and that a competent subcontractor foreman may fill certain superintendent, SSHO, or QCM roles subject to the stated separation requirements.
