Description
The City of Gautier is soliciting sealed bids for general construction services for Phase 2 of the Historic Schoolhouse Renovation. The work includes selective demolition; exterior weatherproofing; securing all entrances; replacement of doors and windows; repairs to the exterior structure; lead-paint remediation; and exterior painting. The base bid must include a $3,000 contingency allowance, and bidders must price two deductive alternates: limited glazing remediation with temporary plywood infill instead of missing-window replacement, and temporary plywood infill instead of replacing a missing door. Bidders must submit a 5% bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check, along with the required bid forms and documentation. The Bid Form states that the work must be substantially completed within 180 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. The successful bidder must furnish 100% performance and 100% labor and payment bonds.
