Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Chicago District, intends to procure proprietary VEMCO acoustic telemetry equipment, including NexTrak R1 transponding acoustic receivers with batteries, VR2Tx-69kHz coded acoustic receivers with transponders, and VR100 surface transponders and manual tracking acoustic receivers. The equipment must interoperate with the existing VEMCO telemetry network used for the Invasive Carp Monitoring and Response Plan. The notice states that Innovasea Systems Inc. is the only source capable of meeting the interoperability requirement and that the agency intends to make a sole-source purchase. This is a notice of intent, not a solicitation for offers; interested firms may submit a capabilities statement for the Government's consideration.
