Description
The City seeks a contractor to replace the traffic signal system at the intersection, including signal heads, poles and mast arms, controller equipment, pedestrian signals, vehicle detection, and related electrical service, conduit, and cabling. Work also includes temporary traffic signals and traffic control, intersection geometry changes with median and island modifications, storm sewer work, asphalt resurfacing, concrete pavement and sidewalk work, curb and gutter improvements, accessible pedestrian features, pavement markings, and associated removals and restoration. The contractor must complete the work within 80 working days, achieve substantial completion with all lanes open to traffic by December 31, 2027, and complete any remaining punch-list or landscaping work during a 14-calendar-day period in spring 2028. Prevailing wages apply. The bid requires a 5% bid guaranty; performance, labor, material, and maintenance bonding and proof of insurance are required from the presumed successful bidder after notification. The bidding instructions also require the contractor to perform at least 51% of the services if the project is subject to the stated IMPACT Agreement threshold.
