Description
Kern County is soliciting a lump-sum public works bid for a fully integrated conference-room audiovisual system built around the QSC Q-SYS platform. The scope includes new commercial-grade equipment and installation of displays, a laser projector and fixed-frame screen, AV rack infrastructure, structured AV and data cabling, audio equipment, video-over-IP distribution, a wall-mounted touch-panel control system, conferencing cameras, centralized presenter input, and associated electrical work. The contractor must configure, program, test, commission, document, and provide end-user training for the system, with compatibility for Teams, Zoom, and WebEx BYOD conferencing. The contractor must reuse and integrate existing displays, rack equipment, speakers, amplifiers, and wireless microphones where technically feasible; provide compatible replacements only when necessary. Required deliverables include shop drawings, system diagrams, as-built documentation, equipment specifications and cut sheets, proposed substitutions, a project schedule, warranty details, and evidence of experience with QSC Q-SYS systems. Equipment must carry a full five-year warranty and labor must carry at least a one-year warranty. The work is to be completed within 30 working days after contract time commences, and a California C-10 contractor's license is required.
