Description
Kern County is soliciting bids for construction of a new Wi-Fi system at three probation facilities: the Youth Detention Center (YDC/Juvenile Hall), Camp Owen, and Crossroads. The project is a lump-sum bid and includes the construction and installation work necessary to provide Wi-Fi systems at all three sites. A mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit will be held at the Youth Detention Center on August 18, 2026. Optional site visits are scheduled for Camp Owen on August 19, 2026, and Crossroads on August 20, 2026. Addendum No. 1 rescheduled the bid opening from September 8, 2026, to September 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. The opportunity requires bid, payment, and performance bonds.
