Description
Spring Branch Independent School District is soliciting turnkey proposals for a districtwide wireless infrastructure upgrade across its facilities. The project includes design and installation of new IEEE 802.11be Wi-Fi 7 access points supporting tri-band 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz operation, along with required gateways or controllers, centralized configuration and monitoring, security, analytics, firmware and lifecycle-management software, licensing, and related hardware. Aruba AP-735, AP-755, AP-765, or AP-764 equipment, or functionally equivalent equipment, is requested. The solution must support outdoor and courtyard coverage, high-density areas, WPA3-Enterprise, Protected Management Frames, Multi-Link Operation, and capacity for at least 120,000 concurrent connections with scalability beyond 300,000. The scope also includes removal and delivery of existing equipment, reuse or installation of Category 6A and fiber cabling, equipment cabinets, cable pathways, testing, labeling, as-built documentation, installation and configuration, knowledge transfer, formal training for three district employees, a pilot of up to 90 days at one high school, five-year support for gateways/controllers and management subscriptions, and applicable warranties. Work in classrooms must occur after school hours. Proposals must include implementation schedules, testing procedures, a master service agreement, terms and conditions, service-level guarantees, required E-Rate participation and SPIN information, and pricing for all infrastructure, software, installation, and recurring services. The project is expected to be completed within 180 days after written notice to proceed, unless otherwise approved, and the district may voluntarily renew awarded contracts for up to two consecutive one-year terms.
