Description
The University of Kentucky, through Walsh Turner JV III, is soliciting qualifications and proposals from subcontractors for the ESI-10 Building Demolition package supporting the Expand Patient Care Facility project. The scope includes preconstruction assistance for sequencing and safely demolishing existing buildings and site utilities, followed by construction, turnover, and closeout services. Work must be coordinated around an operational hospital campus and may include BIM implementation, constructability review, value management, estimating, scheduling, site logistics, demolition, installation, quality control, safety administration, testing, commissioning, record documents, operation and maintenance manuals, as-built BIM, and owner training. The proposal must address the firm's qualifications, similar healthcare-project experience, technical approach, staffing, subcontractor and supplier plan, detailed estimate and GMP-related costs, labor rates, fees, and written responses to the specified questions. The procurement contemplates phased competitive negotiation, with preconstruction assistance followed by potential construction-phase services subject to authorization, funding, performance, and agreement on a Guaranteed Maximum Price. Required supporting materials include the Notice of Intent to Bid, bid breakdown, proposal and labor-rate forms, subcontractor bidder information, evidence of insurance, a current W-9, and written responses to the evaluation requirements.
