Description
Fayette County Public Schools is requesting proposals for as-needed general plumbing services, including new work, repairs, emergency service calls, drain cleaning, camera inspections, hydro-jetting, leak detection, sewer and water-line work, fixture replacement, pumps, water heaters, backflow devices, excavation, and related plumbing systems. The contractor must furnish skilled labor, tools, equipment, replacement parts, materials, cleanup, and estimates for individual jobs. Required resources include master and journeyman plumbers, a qualified/certified welder, plumber helpers, plumbing trucks, backhoes, a portable welder, and a dump truck. Emergency service must be available 24 hours per day, seven days per week, with response within two hours. The contract is for an initial one-year term with up to four additional one-year renewals. Proposals must include technical and cost proposals, references, personnel and equipment information, a current customer list, proof of insurance, and other required forms and certifications. The solicitation requires a certificate of insurance, including at least $1,000,000 per-occurrence commercial general liability and $1,000,000 per-occurrence property damage liability coverage. Subcontracting requires prior written approval. Addendum 1 changes the personnel requirement from two master plumbers to one master plumber; the signed addendum must be submitted with the proposal.
