Description
The County of Maui is soliciting bids for construction of the Maui Police Department Communications Facility, Job No. 13-30, in Makila, Maui. The work includes an antenna tower and its foundations, delivery and erection of tower appurtenances, a prefabricated precast-concrete equipment structure, drilled piers, concrete and asphalt paving, cement rubble masonry, fencing and gates, excavation and fill, erosion and vegetation control, archaeological monitoring, and site improvements. The prefabricated structure includes bullet-resistant Level 4 doors, roofing, electrical distribution and utility connections, equipment racks and cable trays, grounding and bonding, two ductless split HVAC systems, and an FK-5-1-12 clean-agent fire-suppression system. Radio equipment, antennas, cameras, and transmission lines are excluded from the construction deliverables. Addendum No. 1 revises the proposal schedule, plans, and electrical and prefabricated-structure specifications; confirms 120/208-volt, three-phase utility service; requires archaeological monitoring; and requires HVAC and fire-suppression contractors to verify system operation. Bidders must submit the completed and signed proposal, bid security, subcontractor or joint-contractor listing, and applicable safety and apprenticeship certifications.
