Description
Pearland Independent School District is accepting competitive sealed bids for the purchase of approximately 45.626 acres, or 1,987,469 square feet, of District-owned surplus vacant land consisting of three tracts along FM 518 (E. Broadway Street), east of Pearland Parkway. The property is identified by Property ID Numbers 164165, 164167, and 171756 and must be purchased as a single transaction. It will be sold “as is, where is, with all faults,” without warranties regarding condition, boundaries, zoning, utilities, environmental matters, drainage, flood conditions, development potential, or suitability for a particular use. The minimum acceptable bid is $8,250,000, and bids below that amount will be rejected. Bidders must submit all required electronic bid attributes, certifications, and attachments through the District’s IonWave e-bidding system and separately deliver an original $100,000 certified check or cashier’s check as bid security by the deadline. Required materials include the Conflict of Interest Questionnaire, Form 1295, IRS W-9, evidence of financial capacity dated no more than 60 days before the deadline, and requested disclosure and certification responses. The sale is subject to final approval by the Board of Trustees. The District may reject any or all bids or withdraw the property from sale. The successful buyer must enter into the District’s purchase and sale agreement, including a 45-calendar-day option period, $200,000 total earnest money, and a $25,000 option fee.
