Description
Passaic County is soliciting a provider to manage respiratory care services at Preakness Healthcare Center, a 406-bed skilled nursing facility that includes an 11-bed ventilator unit and a 24-bed special-care unit. The provider must supply licensed New Jersey respiratory therapists 24 hours per day, seven days per week for the ventilator unit; provide respiratory care for ventilator- and tracheostomy-dependent residents and residents using CPAP, BiPAP, oxygen concentrators, and other modalities; manage assessments, treatment plans, documentation, equipment, supplies, utilization reporting, quality reporting, staff training, and implementation. Medical gas is excluded because it is covered under a separate contract. The response must address provider qualifications, including at least five years of skilled-nursing-facility ventilator experience and five years of on-site ventilator-care-unit management experience. Required proposal materials include the RFP Proposal, Standard Questionnaire, reference list, vendor information, company history and organizational structure, respiratory-care-manual table of contents, respiratory-manager information, implementation plan, and pricing tables for labor, management, equipment rental, maintenance, and disposable supplies. The contract has a January 1, 2027, start date, an initial one-year period, and four one-year renewal options.
