Description
The City of Alexandria's Community Development Department is soliciting contractor bids for roofing repairs at 22 occupied residential properties. The work includes the labor, materials, equipment, removal and disposal of replaced materials, and related work needed to complete the property-specific scopes. New materials must be unused, meet applicable code requirements, and be installed in accordance with manufacturer specifications. The bid packet includes property-specific work descriptions and photos, and requires itemized pricing for each structure in the applicable bundles. Bidders must hold an active Community Development Contractor Registration and attend the mandatory pre-bid conference. The bid proposal price sheet must be completed and signed by hand in ink. Awards are made to the lowest responsive, responsible bidders, subject to available program funding and the property owners' selections. The work is funded through HUD CDBG funds.
