Description
The Florida Keys Aqueduct Authority seeks a contractor to furnish and install a pre-engineered steel equipment canopy at its Key Largo operations yard. The work includes foundations and footings, a concrete slab approximately 35 by 56 feet, and a galvanized steel-frame structure with a 24-gauge Galvalume R-panel roof. The canopy must meet the specified Florida Building Code 2023 design criteria, including a 180 mph wind-speed load, and support equipment weighing up to 60,000 pounds. The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, and materials, remove debris, and provide bathroom facilities. The bid must state a firm delivery and job-completion date; construction is to be completed by the end of June 2027. The bid package requires the bid form and affidavits, and proof of specified insurance must be included with the proposal. A mandatory site visit is required to submit a bid.
