Description
The City is seeking a contractor to repair and reinforce a damaged steel girder at its compost facility, remove the temporary shoring currently in place, and perform related work. The bid line items cover structural steel repair, cleaning and painting, shoring removal, and mobilization. Plans and specifications govern the work. Bidders must provide pricing for every line item. A bid bond equal to 5% of the bid is required for bids over $100,000. The bid package also requires a current certificate of insurance and a completed Bidder Status Form. For construction bids of $25,000 or more, the DBE subcontract contact forms and supporting proof of contact are required; the forms also require a statement if no work will be subcontracted. A performance bond, payment bond, and four-year maintenance bond are required after award for bids over $100,000.
