Description
The City of Vancouver, on behalf of Skanska, is soliciting bids for BP32D, miscellaneous concrete and site specialties for the Public Works Operations Center. The scope includes concrete paving and foundations; bollard installation; ground-set flags and flagpoles; bicycle storage; a fire department key box; detectable warning mats; precast monument signage with water-repellent and anti-graffiti coatings; polished colored concrete; and related concrete reinforcement, embeds, sleeves, and accessories. Site concrete work also includes off-site improvements along NE 94th Avenue and NE 88th Street. Structural building concrete, fencing and its post foundations, most sign foundations, and street illumination and traffic-signal foundations are excluded. Bids must use the provided bid form and include pricing for the base bid and all alternates. The bid package also requires a 5% bid guarantee for work expected to exceed $300,000; bidders above that threshold must provide a surety letter, and the successful bidder must provide payment and performance bonds. Washington contractor registration and responsibility criteria apply. The pre-bid conference and site walk are non-mandatory, and attendance is encouraged.
