Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking industry input from general contractors, subcontractors, and material suppliers regarding planned Electronic Health Records Modernization infrastructure upgrade projects throughout VISN 2 in New York and New Jersey. The anticipated work includes commercial and institutional construction, telecommunications towers, data centers, fiber-optic networks, telecommunications rooms, Cat 6A cabling, electrical distribution, HVAC and cooling systems, power redundancy, physical security, life-safety infrastructure, and hazardous-material abatement in active healthcare facilities. The planned FY 2027 projects are at the Bronx, Canandaigua, Manhattan, Northport, and St. Albans VA medical centers, with additional projects anticipated in FY 2028. Estimated project values range from $20 million to $60 million, and each project is expected to have an estimated 24- to 36-month duration. The eventual procurements are expected to use firm-fixed-price, design-bid-build contracts, but the acquisition strategy and socioeconomic set-aside approach have not yet been finalized.
