Description
The Defense Logistics Agency is conducting market research to identify qualified sources capable of manufacturing and supplying a link assembly, servo input, for the Black Hawk weapon system. The requested item is NSN 1650-01-156-8520, part number 2227063-6. The Government states that the acquisition is currently limited to one responsible source because the necessary technical data rights are unavailable and reverse engineering is uneconomical. Potential sources must meet prequalification requirements and may be responsible for recurring and nonrecurring engineering associated with source approval. The anticipated manufacturing scope includes supply-chain management, logistics, parts forecasting, long-lead procurement, material forecasting, obsolescence management, production, and final delivery.
