Description
Texas A&M AgriLife Research is soliciting bids for a new shop building at the Blackland Research and Extension Center. The scope includes furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment for the complete project in accordance with the bid set, including site preparation, grading, utilities, concrete foundations and slabs, structural and architectural work, roofing, doors and openings, plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems, communications, and electronic safety and security. The building includes vehicle and trailer parking, a shop area, storage areas, a mezzanine, and a restroom. Bidders must provide pricing using the supplied Cost Breakdown template, descriptive literature or technical specifications for proposed equipment and major components, an estimated completion time, warranty information, and a current certificate of insurance. A completed Texas Subcontracting Plan is required for bid amounts of $100,000 or more. Payment bonding is required for projects over $25,000, and performance bonding is required for projects over $100,000. A mandatory site inspection is required before bidding.
