Description
College of DuPage is seeking design-build services for a custom educational light lab associated with a new greenhouse. The scope includes installation of a concrete slab, boiler and radiant floor heating system, solar array, and related electrical, plumbing, and mechanical work. The contractor must coordinate with the greenhouse manufacturer, complete final system connections, and provide a fully operational installation. The solicitation identifies a planned 200 MBH boiler, five independently isolatable solar panel arrays, radiant tubing embedded in the slab, and associated controls and commissioning. The project also includes required site work, utilities, permitting coordination, prevailing-wage compliance, subcontractor coordination, and a $50,000 allowance. The documents state that construction is planned for fall 2026 or spring 2027, with completion and occupancy required no later than June 1, 2027.
