Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is holding an informational virtual industry day to discuss a planned nationwide procurement for fixed-wing and rotary-wing air ambulance brokerage, supported by ground transportation for Veterans between airports, healthcare facilities, residences, and other approved destinations. Ground transportation may include private vehicles, taxis, rideshare services, wheelchair-accessible vans and shuttles, ambulances, and other specialized transportation. The anticipated requirement includes 24/7/365 availability, compliance with CAMTS/NAAMTA transport standards, real-time communication and documentation through VA-mandated transportation software, quality control and subcontractor oversight, and support for advanced life support, basic life support, critical care, and stretcher transports. The planned procurement is expected to result in three to five firm-fixed-price multiple-award contracts. Interested parties are asked to submit a capability statement of no more than 10 pages to the contracting point of contact; this notice is informational and is not a request for proposals.
