Description
The CIESC Region 9 Child Nutrition Cooperative is soliciting competitive sealed proposals for a food distributor and group purchasing organization serving Indiana K-12 school nutrition programs during the 2027-2028 school year. The selected vendor will secure pricing for USDA commodities and commercial food products; purchase, stock, store, distribute, deliver, and invoice products; administer rebates, incentives, discounts, allowances, and credits; and provide ordering, reporting, nutrition, allergen, CN label, Product Formulation Statement, Buy American, commodity, and product-specification support. The vendor must provide broadline distribution, electronic ordering and tracking, a dedicated K-12 support team, delivery throughout Indiana, a minimum 98% original-order fill rate, and a minimum 95% on-time delivery rate. Proposal responses must include the Market Basket Pricing Worksheet, Full Item List Worksheet, Fixed Case Fee Worksheet, Scenario 1 Worksheet, Scenario 2 Worksheet, detailed Questionnaire for Respondents responses, USDA and federally required procurement forms, and any exceptions to the solicitation terms. The original notarized Non-Collusion Affidavit and original Bid Signature Page must be mailed separately. The initial contract runs from July 1, 2027, through June 30, 2028, with possible annual renewals for up to four additional years. The newly attached Exception Form requires any exceptions to the terms, conditions, specifications, or proposal forms to be identified in writing with the proposal.
