Description
The California Department of Veterans Affairs is soliciting a lump-sum construction bid for flooring replacement at the Northern California Veterans Cemetery Administration Building. The work includes demolition of existing linoleum and temporary carpet, slab preparation, installation of quartz resinous epoxy flooring in the lobby, hallways, offices, breakroom, and refrigerator alcove, and installation of new rubber wall base. Related work includes gypsum-board repairs, painting, restroom signage, accessible parking and loading-zone improvements, pavement markings, and other code-required accessibility modifications. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, demolition, disposal, hazardous-material coordination, and incidental services necessary for a complete project. Bidders must hold California Class B General Building Contractor and Class C-15 Flooring and Floor Covering licenses, attend the mandatory pre-bid site inspection, provide a bid security equal to at least 10 percent of the bid, and meet the required 3 percent Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise participation goal. The estimated project cost is $125,000, and the contract duration is 120 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed.
