The Florida Department of Law Enforcement seeks three years of maintenance and technical support for its existing proprietary Forensic Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and associated Evidence Management System, Radio Frequency Identification System, Criminal Evidence Intake Module, .NET LIMS System, Toxicology Automation Module, Prelog v2, Android custody-transfer and inventory modules, and Biology Automation Module. The system supports evidence tracking, inventory, auditing, and multidisciplinary forensic laboratory operations, including biology, firearms, chemistry, and toxicology. The agency identifies Porter Lee Corporation as the intended single source because it owns the proprietary software and is described as the only firm able to provide end-to-end preventive and remedial maintenance, configuration management, system administration, performance tuning, upgrades, and programming.
