Description
The City of Rayne is soliciting sealed bids for improvements to an existing elevated water tower and related water production infrastructure. The base work includes installation of one 1,400-gpm service pump, three variable frequency drives, a pump control panel, modifications to the existing SCADA system, miscellaneous elevated-tower repairs, an electrical grounding system, removal of interior and exterior coating systems, exterior lead abatement and containment, and recoating of the tower interior and exterior. Additive Alternate No. 1 covers automation, controls, instrumentation, and SCADA upgrades for the City's water production and treatment operations. Additive Alternate No. 2 covers installation of a lightning protection system. Bidders must submit the provided bid form and a bid security equal to 5% of the base bid plus additive alternates. The successful contractor must provide performance and labor-and-material payment bonds for the full contract amount. Applicable Louisiana contractor licensing is required, including appropriate classifications for painting/coating/blasting, municipal and public works construction, lead-based paint abatement, electrical and controls work, and mechanical pump installation.
