Description
The New Jersey Turnpike Authority is soliciting armored-car services for the daily collection, counting, manifesting, secure transport, and delivery of toll revenue, money bags, cash vaults, collector paperwork, and related materials from designated New Jersey Turnpike and Garden State Parkway interchanges, barriers, service areas, and other collection points. Services include scheduled Monday-through-Sunday routes, delivery to the Authority’s counting facility and headquarters, emergency coin and currency delivery, vault and bag handling, manifests and daily reporting, and a monthly pickup of coin vaults at an Authority administration building. The contractor must provide armored vehicles, staffing, firearms and permits, security procedures, sufficient reserve vehicles, vault access and maintenance, disposable deposit bags, pallets, cable ties, and other specified supplies. The solicitation permits full subcontracting of the services if properly disclosed, requires at least five years of armored-car experience, and imposes substantial bonding, insurance, financial-reporting, security, and loss-reimbursement obligations. The contract term is three years, with two additional one-year extension options at the Authority’s discretion.
