Description

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission is soliciting unarmed security officer services for the Department of Family and Protective Services Ridgepoint facility. The contractor must provide continuous 24-hour, seven-day coverage with one officer assigned to each of three shifts, plus supervising officer support. Duties include guarding entrances, exits, interior and exterior areas, parking lots, and grounds; controlling access; issuing visitor badges; maintaining logs and daily activity reports; conducting scheduled rounds; monitoring cameras and access-control systems; responding to emergencies; assisting with evacuations; and coordinating with law enforcement and facility management. Officers must be properly licensed in Texas, complete required background checks and clearances before access, undergo drug screening, and meet the stated experience, training, physical ability, and communication requirements. The contractor must also provide uniforms, cellular phones, supplies, transportation when required, relief coverage, and the capability to provide a properly licensed armed officer upon request. The initial contract term is November 1, 2026, through January 31, 2027, with an agency option to extend for up to one year. Pricing must be submitted using the provided pricing sheet, including regular, overtime, emergency, and disaster hourly rates.
