Description
The City of Shreveport is soliciting bids for rehabilitation of the three-span Montana Street Bridge in Caddo Parish. The base work includes repair or replacement of deteriorated timber piles, pile encapsulation and stub piles, timber bulkhead repairs, select fill and random rip-rap placement, geogrid reinforcement, handrail repair and painting, replacement of bridge approach and bridge-deck W-beam guardrail, TL-3 MASH end treatments, hazard-marker and chevron resetting, temporary traffic control, erosion control, landscaping, and related excavation, concrete, structural steel, and mobilization work. An alternate bid provides for an elevating sleeve pile repair system in lieu of specified pile encapsulations and stub piles. The estimated construction cost is $257,700, with a 75-working-day completion period. A 5 percent bid bond is required, and the successful bidder must provide performance, payment, and maintenance bonds at the stated thresholds. Contractors must submit COS Bid Form #1, COS Bid Form #2, a corporate resolution or written evidence of signing authority, and acknowledgment of all addenda; the bid documents also require contractor licensing, insurance, and compliance with the City's Fair Share participation requirements.
