Description
DeSoto Parish School District is soliciting proposals for Category 1 E-Rate services consisting of a fiber-based wide area network and Internet access for 13 eligible entities. Vendors may propose managed or unmanaged leased lit fiber or dark fiber, with WAN options of 20, 40, or 100 Gbps and Internet access options of 10 or 20 Gbps at the district’s two data centers. Proposed solutions must provide dedicated, full-bandwidth connectivity, support real-time traffic and quality-of-service requirements, and include all necessary eligible hardware, interfaces, installation, and activation. The proposal must address network design, diagrams, fiber routes and construction costs where applicable, equipment make and model, space requirements, uptime and outage support, escalation procedures, monitoring and notifications, implementation, and certification of circuit performance. The district seeks a multi-year agreement with two-year extensions and expects the network to be fully operational by July 1, 2027. Pricing must separately identify monthly costs, one-time fees, other fees, and annual totals, with all fees explained.
