Description
Kenton County Fiscal Court is soliciting sealed bids from KYTC-prequalified asphalt contractors for resurfacing Alexander Road from St. Mary Road to KY 177 and Mullins Road from Alexander Road to the county line. The work includes asphalt resurfacing, milling and texturing, leveling and wedging, base repairs, shoulder work, traffic control, permanent striping and thermoplastic stop-bar markings, mobilization and demobilization, and replacement of an 18-inch culvert with HDPE pipe. Work must comply with current Kentucky Transportation Cabinet specifications and the solicitation’s construction requirements, including maintaining traffic, site preparation, drainage and culvert work, restoration, cleanup, seeding, and asphalt quality-control procedures. The project has a fixed completion date of November 15, 2026. Bidders must provide a five-percent bid bond; the selected contractor must provide a performance bond equal to 100 percent of the contract price before contract execution.
