Description
The City seeks a vendor to supply ready-mix concrete in six specified mix configurations, priced per cubic yard, with separate delivery charges for loads of three cubic yards or less. The City will order as needed; total quantities are unknown. Delivery must occur within 24 hours of notification, and delivery charges are not allowed for loads greater than three cubic yards. The bid form requests prices for concrete mixes and delivery loads. The initial contract period is 12 months from award, with the option—by mutual agreement—to issue a second and third 12-month contract at the same pricing and terms. Prices may not increase during the agreement period, though decreases are allowed. Bids may be awarded by item, group, or total to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The solicitation establishes a 3% preference for vendors with a place of business within Walker County.
