Description
The University of Colorado Boulder seeks a general contractor to renovate approximately 2,000 square feet of existing computer lab space into a conference room for 60–75 people. The work includes demolition and architectural improvements, new finishes and storefront elements, mechanical and electrical modifications, fire protection work, and construction coordination. The bid documents also include alternate scopes, including additional floor boxes and displays, lighting and ceiling changes, and exterior window additions. The contractor must coordinate with university-provided technology and audiovisual equipment and infrastructure, protect occupied areas, and perform certain disruptive work outside normal hours or on a weekend. The scope acknowledgement form requires bidders to account for card-reader, network, and audiovisual pathways, approved mechanical/electrical/plumbing and fire-sprinkler subcontractors, temporary construction enclosures, and weekend masonry demolition. Colorado labor must perform at least 80% of the work.
