Description
The First Responder Network Authority intends to issue a firm-fixed-price, sole-source purchase order to Rohde & Schwarz USA, Inc. for maintenance, repair, and calibration of government-owned Rohde & Schwarz equipment. The notice states that the equipment is proprietary and that Rohde & Schwarz is the only authorized repair and calibration facility in North America, citing its control of the design, genuine replacement parts, and calibration standards. This is a notice of intent, not a request for competitive quotes. Interested sources may submit a capability statement of no more than two pages, including management and technical information and convincing evidence of their capability—particularly OEM authorization to repair and calibrate the equipment. Responses will be used to determine whether the requirement should be competed or awarded sole source.
