Description
The City of Florence, in partnership with Building Florence Together, CDC, is soliciting sealed bids from qualified, licensed general contractors to construct four single-family residences at specified properties on Pine and Gaillard Streets. The homes are approximately 1,187 to 1,255 square feet, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The scope includes site grading and drainage, foundations and encapsulated crawl spaces, structural and exterior construction, roofing, siding, interior finishes, kitchens and bathrooms, garages and driveways, landscaping, utilities, stormwater controls, permits, fees, builder's risk insurance, cleanup facilities, and a one-year contractor warranty. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and related professional services and hold the required South Carolina general contractor's or residential license. The work must be completed within 180 consecutive calendar days from the notice to proceed. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is required, and bids must include a work schedule, proof of the required license, and three references for similar projects. The lowest responsible and responsive bidder will be considered, subject to the stated local and minority business preference policy. The successful bidder must provide 100% performance and payment bonds and comply with specified insurance, subcontractor, licensing, and business-license requirements.
