Description
The MetroHealth System is seeking an integrated solution for mail-order pharmacy logistics and prescription delivery. The selected vendor will provide prescription pickup, secure transportation and delivery to patients, standard and expedited delivery options, specialty and time-sensitive medication handling, chain-of-custody documentation, proof of delivery, signature capture, temperature-controlled transportation, and procedures for lost, damaged, delayed, undeliverable, or temperature-compromised shipments. The solution must support real-time shipment tracking, patient notifications, reporting dashboards, operational analytics, pharmacy-system and EHR integration, secure handling of protected health information, implementation and transition support, training, account management, regulatory compliance, and ongoing performance reporting. Proposals should address implementation, service levels, technology architecture, staffing, pricing, subcontracting and offshoring, conflicts of interest, three similar client references from the last five years, a current certificate of insurance, and confirmation that the most recent W-9 is on file. The expected initial contract term is three years, with options for additional one-year extensions.
