Description
Union County seeks proposals from experienced organizations to provide services for youth at risk of entering the juvenile justice system or already involved in it. Eligible program areas include prevention and diversion workshops, community drop-in centers, performing arts, youth development, individual and family counseling, educational and substance abuse services, sexual offender treatment, and life-skills and wellness services. The scope varies by program category; for example, drop-in center providers must establish safe spaces in four specified communities and offer activities such as homework support, case management, workshops, and recreation. Applicants may submit separate proposals for multiple service categories. The total available funding is $640,143, with maximum funding amounts specified by category. Funded providers must meet program, fiscal, and data-reporting requirements, including use of the Juvenile Automated Management System. The initial contract period is January 1 through December 31, 2027, with options for up to two additional one-year periods, subject to funding and County approval.
