Description
The New Jersey Turnpike Authority seeks a contractor to provide labor, replacement parts, minor materials, equipment, tools, and services for monthly safety inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs of passenger elevators and dumbwaiters at facilities along the New Jersey Turnpike and Garden State Parkway. Work includes cleaning, adjustments, lubrication, required safety testing, and annual fire-recall testing. The contractor must respond on site to emergency repair requests within two hours and provide quarterly condition and maintenance reports. The initial contract term is two years, with two optional one-year extensions. Bidders must submit pricing for the listed units and hourly rates for additional regular and emergency services. The bid requires 10% bid security and a consent of surety at submission; the successful bidder must provide a contract bond of up to 100% of the total amount bid after award. Insurance requirements include commercial general liability, automobile liability, workers’ compensation and employers’ liability, and umbrella liability.
