Description
The City of New Bern is seeking a qualified contractor to mill existing pavement and pave various Ward 3 streets with approximately 2 inches of Type S9.5B asphalt concrete surface course. The work includes grading exposed roadbeds, aggregate base course, manhole rim leveling, cleanup, erosion control, and restoration of affected features. The contractor must also provide maintenance of traffic, including flagger control, access to businesses and residences, thermoplastic pavement markings, utility coordination, mobilization, and required bonding. The project uses unit-price bidding, has a confirmed 90-calendar-day contract time, and requires compliance with North Carolina contractor licensing laws and applicable construction requirements.
