Description
The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture is conducting a Request for Information to identify commercially available RFID technologies for end-to-end tracking and management of reusable transport crates used in the live-bird market supply chain. The requested solution should support positive crate identification, automated or semi-automated scanning, inventory visibility, movement and chain-of-custody tracking, disease traceability, exception reporting, and operational efficiency across farms, cleaning facilities, loading operations, transportation, distribution centers, live-bird markets, return transportation, sanitization, and reuse. Respondents should describe their company, RFID products and supported technologies, recommended hardware and system architecture, scanning performance in agricultural and challenging environmental conditions, mobile capabilities, reporting, security, reliability, analytics, product roadmap, implementation approach, and integration capabilities. The response must specifically address integration with the TraceFirst CoreOne platform and include at least three comparable implementation references. Budgetary information may be provided for planning purposes, but pricing proposals are not requested and the RFI will not result directly in a contract award.
