Description
Muscatine Community College is soliciting bids for the Gaekle Hall Remodel project. The work includes demolition of existing mechanical systems, interior renovations, and site improvements. Key scopes include: removal of existing HVAC equipment (chiller, condensing unit, unit ventilators, exhaust fans, ductwork, piping, and controls); installation of new rooftop units, VAV boxes with electric reheat, cabinet unit heaters, fan coil units, and exhaust fans; new ductwork and controls; plumbing modifications; electrical work including panelboard relocation; and sitework including grading, utility adjustments, retaining walls, sidewalks, and erosion control. The project also includes an alternate for a standing seam metal roof over 5" rigid insulation in lieu of TPO membrane. A contingency allowance of $115,000 is included. Construction is to be substantially complete by August 14, 2026.
